      Here's my custom dalek!
I'll try to build the exact same IRL as a full scale size

      Dalek Two Zero

Had a great time in Liverpool, but did notice a bunch of jobs to sort out.
My wiring from the eyelight is loose in the cockpit, I need to secure a lot of wiring, probably using pieces of hose pipe to clip it in.
It wants splitting too, so it is easier to separate with the dome and neck off.
My cockpit could do with some better organization, so I can have powerbricks feeding cameras.
The superior front blindspot cam should be added.
The holder for my iris control needs replacing and moving to make access to it easier - I was struggling to deliver smooth "cheeky winks"
Internal storage needs to be increased.
My onboard spares and tools case was missing a couple of bits.
All my camera phones need the movies removing, I was constantly running out of space.
After two days heavy use, and no overnight charge, I was showing 70% battery remaining.
The gun could really do with a feature, such as that pop out flag, it's useless as it is.
I need to label the lightswitch for my eyelight too, I kept forgetting if it was on or off!

Thanks for responding. This is going to be a sit-in Dalek, hopefully motorised if my budget allows. I'm hoping feedback won't be a huge problem since the Martmod comes with feedback reduction.  I'm well aware that most of the Dalek's voice comes from the actor; that being said, even Nick Briggs himself would sound rather naff if his voice was played through a poor quality sound system.  I can pull off a good Dalek voice, and I know the Martmod is a reputable, high-quality unit, so 90% of the equation is already sorted.  To what degree is visibility affected with speakers in the mesh? If I put a small enough speaker (around 4 or 5 inches) to the side, surely visibility should still be okay-ish? I'd be using standalone speaker cones rather than fully enclosed speakers in this case. Probably the best Dalek sound system I've heard comes from Dalek 29 in this video (timestamp at 1:31)

The early TV Dalek shoulders are not one colour, they are two. The gun/arm boxes are a different colour to the main shoulder body.   Look at the colour photos in the Dead Planet gallery for reference.   Specific Dalek colours from the 60s and 70s are undocumented. All paints/pigments mentioned (anywhere) are people's recommendations. However, some recommendations are based on comparison to real Dalek paint samples, rather than photos. You'll find more of those on Project Dalek than elsewhere. I'd recommend reading @John Kelly's build diaries which contain excellent paint/pigment research.   I'm going to edit your post down to just the paint question. Multiple discussions in one topic don't work. I'm also going to move it to the relevant section for such discussions. The FAQs section shouldn't really be used as a default or catch-all for anything being asked, if there is a dedicated section further down for the subject matter. Imagine how unorganised and clogged up it would become if everyone used it for everything they wanted to ask.
