Dalek Two Zero
I'm gonna try and build a bubble blowing gun for my gunstick.· 0 replies
It will be tricky, and need a special construction, as the bubble launching bit will have to be right at the end.
I have a couple of potential designs to try, but wondered if anyone had seen it done this way before.

Dalek Two Zero
Next batch of 100 free Dalek toys in production.· 0 replies
I've been asked to do a Christmas lights switch on, and it would be nice to have toys to hand out.
Last year snow and ice cancelled my appearance, I expect the same may happen again, as it's a couple of weeks away.

@John No problem! RE the typo, I actually submitted a new version a few hours later, so that problem solved itself. Thank you though! -

Order of work today; I drilled up the dome rings in preparation for the pivot supports Drilled sundry holes that would have been present on Shawcraft domes (just for the sake of authenticity) Marked up and drilled the dome light holes (again, Shawcraft spec, will drill for the proper Maypole lights later on) Drilled A-frame holes using a 10mm forstner bit Roughed-in the eye slots using my oscilating tool (to be finalised once I get the pivot supports fitted). I used fibral paste to fit the dome rings, before fibreglassing on the top side as usual. I used a slightly broken USB reading light to help illuminate the inside of the domes, it was quite helpful! The eagle-eyed among you will have noticed that there are three domes on the go. The one on the floor is a spare that I'm planning to use on a fun project I have pencilled in for next year, but I thought I'd get a few things done now... stay tuned! -

OK so a rejig with the template and panel pins. Here's how we started. I removed the pins from the outer ring and left the ones in the Inner shoulder frame - lower outer edge. I then removed the template and drew around the pins using a flexible metal ruler. I realised that I should have pinned the inner shoulder frame upper outer edge before I removed the template, as I will need it to check the geometry when fitting the upper strut. I then pinned the inner shoulder frame - upper outer edge. I then drew around the inner pin marks the same way using a ruler. I was about to cut the outer shape out but then realised I have not made an allowance for the cladding material, and I don't yet have any as I have not identified what it is I am using.
