Hi Craig.· 3 replies
I've just bought a 2nd movie dalek (originally from This Planet Earth) and looking to make many improvements.
The eye stalk is impossibly heavy, being made from solid aluminium rods with aluminium disks and an eye ball that appears to be cast resin(!)
It all has to be a lot lighter as I want to remote control the eye and dome and install a blue LED etc.
I have someone who will 3D print the eyeball and I think I can source the aluminium tubing etc but Im stuck with the disks.
Can you supply me with a set of perspex disks please?
Im in Jersey (postage should be the same as UK) so please let me know if you can send some over and the cost?
Mod edit: email/phone removed.
Cheers
Mike

There was quite a lot going on in your account, which may have been causing issues. I've stripped out all the older invoices and left just those that were completed, plus the Active Membership order, which is 'pending'. You can find it here: https://www.projectdalek.com/index.php?/clients/orders/ Let me know how you get on. If it doesn't work, we can try a 'Plan B'. -

The raised areas are made from fibreglass and are part of the fibreglass structure of the skirt. If you are planning to make the shirt from something other than fibreglass, (such as wood) then weight will be a consideration. This image in the Gallery shows the mould sections assembled, ready for the skirt to be produced: -

Hello I need your help. I really want to build the NDP and I want it to be mostly 3D printed (the skirt, the shoulders, the neck and the dome) but I wasn’t able to find any good models. I know that many people use 3D prints so if anybody has a model recommendation please let me know. -

I used Halfords stardust silver for Mork…. Went on well. Avoid Moondust silver…. It’s almost identical but way more opaque so needs twice as many cans… no help on the gold tho…. Blimey that Daleks seen some action
