Getting ready for Scotland, charging all my phones & batteries.
Added about £30 for replacement phone batteries and usb micro wires.
Bought party poppers and a cap gun plus caps too.
Love my new iris, but the eye itself is plastic with a bad 3D printed shape, all angles - painting it black gloss should improve the look.
Two new phones were about £50, and I'm using the £20 endoscope and screen that is already part of the budget for the new build!
I'm also using the bigger 12V batteries that were charged to the new build for the lights in the wreck...

Thanks John.  I agree the ring at the top of the shoulders here looks pretty thin. But the plans state 550mm for the outer diameter of the 1st cladding layer.  Take away 2 x 3.2mm for the material thickness gives me 544mm ish. The lower neck ring and internal ring is 500mm ID. So that leaves 44mm /2  giving 22mm per side (near enough 3/4 inch). I see other builds and there seems to be a wider shoulder ring. I guess its really  how much space you need for your neck, head and shoulders. I am figuring this all helps to keep the structure lighter and more spacious on the inside. You make a very good point about the Internal frame; as in reality you want the upper shoulders ring ID to be ideally something like 470mm ( lets say 2x 15mm for the internal frame uprights ). Perhaps a note is needed in the plans to warn others that they need to think about how the internal frame is held in place? Thanks RepeatedMeme for the clarification. This is very useful for my next phase of construction.

That silver and blue skirt with the angle added very much puts me in the mind of those tantalizing pre-repaint Day props. Such an interesting look!

Fantastic methodical approach & advice for everyone to take heed.    Is it possible to say by how many mm the 3mm rubber thickness adds to the outer length of each aluminium section, per fender segment length?
