Does anyone remember an early cgi render of a Dalek crawling out of its casing? It was around the time the 'Storm' design came out & the Dalek under the water.· 0 replies

Really impressed by the video of the mostly original 1966 Dalek auctioned by Bamfords in 2016 posted by @Mike Aubert in his build diary.· 0 replies

Had a productive night! 7 panels drawn out and 3 of them cutout! So good to finally start, even if the progress is small. -

I started marking out the panels on 0.25" plywood. It's light, and flexible enough to compensate for small cutting errors. One each of panel 1-4 are drawn. I'll cut them and trace them for the other side (much easier than measuring all that out again). I also got my hemispheres in! The sell quantity worked out to 80, so I'll have spares if I break any. I'm going to buy the plywood for the base and the top of the skirt over the holiday weekend. I hope to start cutting this holiday weekend!! -

I have no idea if a spotter is required here in Europe. But getting around the house (LOL) also requires good situational awareness. I already found a set of motorized 12" wheels (30.48 cm) with controller. I'm tinking about TOF (Time of Flight) sensors for obstacle avoidance (or at least warning). A few ultrasone detectors could be used to as well as at least a forward and rearward facing camera. I'm still thinking on how to prevent poking someones eye with the gun, arm & eye.
