Does anyone remember an early cgi render of a Dalek crawling out of its casing? It was around the time the 'Storm' design came out & the Dalek under the water.

Really impressed by the video of the mostly original 1966 Dalek auctioned by Bamfords in 2016 posted by @Mike Aubert in his build diary.

Progress has been stagnant. No building to report; life getting in the way, yada yada yada... I have managed to finally procure a DVM8 unit from @elembivos, many thanks to him for working with me on that. Process was very easy and the product is nothing short of amazing. I have yet to test the unit but the parts necessary to get at least a rudimentary lighting and sound system operational are on the way from our Amazonian overlords.   In the meantime, I've also managed to get some rather authentic *adjusts glasses* "BA15D" bulb sockets for the dome lights, bulbs and ping-pong balls on the way as well to start assembling that. Hoping to begin construction once I'm hit with a spontaneous motivation spree. Any day now...

I got back from my orthodontist appointment with my new chrome! These things feel weird, anyways I got started on the Daleks skirt again. I managed to wrap my small American mind around the metric system and measured out my marks. It’s super windy in Missouri right now so it made it harder to actually measure it all. Once I checked my measurements like 5 times and they all were in an acceptable range (not perfect but they’ll do) I decided it was time to commit to the cut! I took a lot of pictures here for those who want a reference like I did when I started this. To me it looks a bit shorter than it should but I’m measured the whole length of it and it’s not off by anything. Personally I think I’m just tweaking out from my brain turning into mash potatoes after my ACT last Tuesday. I tried to get the marks made for cutting the top of the skirt out but I kept confusing myself so I need to write the measurements separately and do it that way. I ended up getting the distances from the midline marked so that’s good! My whole motto for this build right now is “Any progress now saves time for future me” and that cannot be more true. I also got my workshop manual in the mail today finally! I did a quick look through it and decided this would be good reading material for when I have nothing to do in class tomorrow. I can’t wait to annoy my girlfriend with it lmao. Next update will hopefully be when I get my printer up and running again! It’s making a funky noise in the back when I move the build plate and the belts are off center (my fault entirely, I need to learn to not fiddle with things that work perfectly) so I’m gonna attempt to fix it this weekend and print part 9/16 of the dome!

Dashboard now has eyecam screen (off, as no eye attached), front and rear blind spot screens, "status" screen, script screen and roll clinometer.  Pitch clinometer to be installed on right hand side, then in the neck a view cam and a thermal imaging camera
