after years of neglect, I am trying to bring my old Dalek back to life with help from my son and a friend of his (the Dalek is older than both of them, and the friends dad helped build Joe Dalek back in 2003.

Hey John.  is there anyway to 'reclaim' a dalek or at least update some information about him?   "Joe" in Dallas/Fort Worth Texas is showing about 50 miles from his home, and I can add some more, and updated information.   also, "Joe Dalek" is the actual name and he is in Murphy Texas   Owner: Jim, Barry, and Tim Forum name: Tim Miller Dalek name: Joe Dalek Built in 2004, this Dalek was a group effort by the members of The International House of Daleks (Moslty Jim, Barry, and Tim) - a Dr Who fan group that was based in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Joe Dalek - made its public debut at the Gallifrey One convention that same year, where he met Sylvester McCoy and Paul McGann, and even ended up wining the costume contest. Joe has appeared at conventions in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas, and was a primary mascot for the Dallas Doctor Who convention WhoFest (2013-2017 RIP)   Years of travel and abuse have taken their toll on poor Joe Dalek, so in late 2024 he is going to the Dalek Spa for a full makeover and hopes to be back for his 21st birthday.   Joe became a bit of a hermit in 2018 after an apperance at a local shop's "Doctor Who Day," spending most of his time hanging out in Tim's garage collecting dust. Until October of 2024 when he made a triumpant return to the 2024 "Doctor Who Day" put on by the same small shop.   You can learn more about Joe at www.drwho-dfw.com/joe.html (http://www.drwho-dfw.com/joe.html)
